Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when you do not have all the hardware for your table saw to install a new motor. First, may I ask what year your table saw is? I show there is a 1980’s model and a 1990’s model. I want to be 100% sure we are getting you the correct diagram and aprts for your specific unit.

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

I see that shim part 969599-001 that is listed as a replacement shim part for Craftsman Table Saw 315.228110. It is shown as Key 86 on the parts diagram in the manual (circled in red on the image below). Here is a link for the full owner's manual on that saw: Craftsman Table Saw 315.228110 Manual . The parts diagram is on page 48 of that manual. Here is a link for that part 969599-001 on the Sears PartsDirect.com website: Shim for Craftsman Table Saw 315.228110 . According to your details, it sounds like that part is the same as the one on the Ryobi BT3000 saw. It is the same key number on the parts diagram and the same part number. That parts webpage that I provided above has a photograph of that part. You should be able to use either part. That component should be identical no matter which source it is ordered from.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, let us know.

Thanks Lyle. After a fair amount of research I think the Craftsman 315.228110 saw uses the same parts across the board as the Ryobi BT3000. The shim pair which includes the 969599-001 AND the 969600-001 are a frequent failure item on this saw. It appears that replacing one set of shims without replacing the other is a waste of time and parts. There appear to be some "fixes" recommended on the internet. I was hoping Craftsman had a solid fix to recommend other than repetitive replacing the shims.

Hello! Mike: I have been out for a funeral leave and just got back and Lyle ask me if there was some better fix for this BT3000 Ryobi built table saw for the shim replacement. I am sorry but the manufacturers suggestions is to keep that area as clean as possible and when you need to replace the shims, is to replace both sets at the same time. I am sorry that I do not have any better fix than that. Sam A.
