Crystal, the issue with your TV would be a convergence issue. on your model of TV there are 3 CRT tubes inside the TV that project a red, a green, and a blue color to give you the picture. sometimes there is a listing in the menu of the TV for adjusting the convergence by lining up crosses in the middle of the TV. if there is and one of the crosses will not move far enough to line back up so all three colored crosses are made into one then the convergence control module is most likely bad and would need replaced. or a number of other issues could be wrong. tests would need to be done to determine exactly what the issue is and what needs replaced. when dealing with a TV of that model # it is usually not cost effective to have it repaired. that model has some parts that are no longer available. spending 300.00 or more repairing a TV that may have a problem again next year or so and that part would not be available then the money spent now was a waste. if you can't adjust the convergence through the remote and menu then it would have to be done by a TV technician. there is a possibility that you have 2 issues with the TV there is another thing on the pics you posted that the convergence might not correct. I think it would be time for a new TV if the menu will not let you adjust the convergence or the adjusting does not completely fix the TV.

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your TV not working properly. We are here to help. Based on the symptom and looking at the picture, the problem is in vertical circuit. The dip in the center of the screen from the vertical circuit , is causing most of the problems. Once the bad filters are replace in the vertical circuit, the picture should straighten out. The TV may need a little focus and convergence adjustment, after vertical circuit is fixed. To fix this TV you would need a schematic diagram with the voltages and waveforms. Therefore, I recommend letting a service technician fix the problem. I provided a link below for service. I hope this helps.

Working on a TV can be difficult and dangerous due to the high voltage circuits inside. Always remember to unplug any TV before trying to service it and if unsure of the proper procedures, seek the service of a trained professional.

Hello Eugene,

I'm sorry to hear that your television will not turn on and I would like to assist you.  The issue that you have described could be caused by several different components within the television and I suggest contacting a local television repair service or follow this link: Sears Home Services, to arrange a repair with a Sears Television Technician.  An issue that you may want to consider is parts availability, some of the circuit boards are not available at this time and may stop the repair from being performed.

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.
