A:

I believe that the door sag is due to the two white plastic "caps" on the the door hinge pins being worn. The replacement hinge (part 134550800) costs $62 and from the picture on this website, it appears to include these plastic caps. It would be nice if Sears would just sell the plastic caps alone for a couple of bucks. I would appreciate it if one of the Sears EXPERTS could address the issue of just replacing the plastic caps at a reasonable cost.

Q:

Frigidaire Washing Machine won't fill with water, agitate or spin. Have replaced five parts so far. Help please. ATF6700FS1

A:

I emailed you a tech sheet for this washer. I recommend that you run the diagnostic test as described in that tech sheet. NOTE: On the 4th step of starting that test, press the START/PAUSE button instead of the CANCEL button to turn the control lights back on and then hold down OPTIONS and START/PAUSE button to enter the test. There is an error in the instructions for entering the diagnostic test on that tech sheet.

The diagnostic test will check all washer components and provide an error code if it finds a defective part.

You could have a bad wiring connection, a failed NTC (temperature sensor -- if your model has one) or a number of other failures.

Check the part numbers of your replacement parts and make sure that the parts that you replaced are compatible with your model. There's a chance that one of the electronic control boards that you replaced is incorrect.

This failure can likely be diagnosed but it will probably take some advanced diagnostic techniques to figure out the cause of your problem.

Let us know when you need more help. We'll continue to assist you until we figure out what's wrong.

Q:

washer will not start. all LEDs are lit, allows me to set settings, but will not start. i psess start, and PAU keeps alternating ATF6700FS1 Frigidaire Washer

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your washer and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number atf6700fs1
and E41 indicates the control board thinks the door switch is open. Make sure the loading door is closed. Also on the control board measure the voltage in J2 plug form the black wire to the ground with power on. If you get 0 volts check the door strike. If the door strike is good replace the door switch assembly. If you get 120volts you will need to replace the control board. I hope this information helps with your troubleshooting. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.
