Q:

i need a flywheel for apg 3009 generator apg 3009 generator

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is parts needed for the generator.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your All Power America Generator model number APG3009.

This flywheel is is separate parts.   I have a picture below of the set-up.   I looked at the pictures and the parts 1 and 2 are the outer steel casings of the flywheel.   Key number 4 is the cooling fan, key 3 is the flywheel key, key 6 is the flywheel nut and key 5 is the starter pulley.

The fan, I am guessing has the magnets built in for to magnify the magnets on the steel casing.   Please look at the picture below so you can judge if you need 1 or all the parts.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to have the model number for the generator.

Somewhere on the generator and or the owners manual is the model number of the product and without that number I cannot supply you a wiring diagram.

Please reply with the model number information and I will be glad to help you get the wiring diagram.

I think it may be model APG3009 if you can find that to verify I will contact the manufacture to get the wiring diagram for you.

Thank for using Manage My Life.

I have the same request. I believe the model # is APG3012. All of the parts are identified with an APA Part No. (i.e. APG3012-G-01-JD for the Recoil Starter Assy. Part No. JF168-G-01)

Update on the wiring request. I am sorry but at this time I only have the diagram in Chinese. It is very basic and the wire colors can be matched from the color code matrix on the bottom left of the diagram. I hope this will be of some help until I can get the complete English version. Sam A.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand your concern when the brushes on the generator wear unevenly.

Do you have a number of these or is this something you are seeing in general?

Without the model and brand of the generator I can only make a general statement of the possible cause for the problem.

The usual reason for uneven wear on brushes can be if there is a hot spot on the brush holder and also if the slip rings are rough, if the bearing support housing is not aligned properly, or a support rotor bearing failing. Thank you for your question.

The usual reason for uneven wear on brushes can be if there is a hot spot on the brush holder and also if the slip rings are rough, if the bearing support housing is not aligned properly or the bearing is failing and also if the load is close to the maximum out of the generator could wear them out faster.

If everything is put together correctly the brushes should last 1,000s of hours of use.

I hope this will help.

If you will please respond with a model and brand of the generator I will be happy to help you further.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I am not where the generator is but it looks nearly identical to the one pictured on the cover of the apg 3009 manual/ parts catalogue. The wear pattern of the brush was as though it was nor directly centered over the run as the very edge of the brush was not worn making a kind of stem in appeearance on one side. I filed the stem off and it began generating again, but I don't want to have to go through this on any regualr basis. Does this help you propose a solution? Thanks.
