Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

You did not make it clear where the constant clicking noise appeared to emitting from. Was it coming from the control panel or from underneath the dishwasher? You also did not indicate if any of the LED's is lit up on the control panel or not.

If there are no LED's lit up, the incoming voltage supply should be disconnected and measured with a voltage meter. NOTE: Flip the house circuit breaker OFF before removing the lower toe panel and the electrical junction box cover. Remove the wire nuts connecting the two black wires and the two white wires. The voltage is measured across the black and white wires supplying the voltage. If 110-120 volts is measured, the next step is to reconnect the power supply to the dishwasher and then access the control board and measure the voltage supply across the white wire connected to P2-9 and black wire connected to P2-3 and then across the white wire (P2-9) and the black wire with the white stripe connected to P2-2. Note: The door switches will need to be closed when making the voltage measurements across P2-3 and P2-9.

I added an image below of the wiring diagram with troubleshooting steps. NOTE: I do not recommend making any voltage checks unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so; otherwise I suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dishwasher.

Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

I can understand how important it is to have your dishwasher working properly. There are many reasons for the middle spray arm to stop working. Here are some tips that may help you with this problem:

  • Make sure that the upper rack is pushed all of the way in so that the upper spray arm docks properly in that back manifold.
  • Check the upper spray arm for cracks or splits.
  • Check the spray holes on that upper spray arm for clogs or deposits.
  • Make sure that the upper spray arm rotates properly.
  • Check the back manifold for damage.
  • Make sure that the dishwasher is filling properly with the correct amount of water.

If these are all working correctly, then you most likely have a defective spray arm, and it needs to be replaced. If you would like to see a part diagram or would like to order a new spray arm, just click on this link: Sears Parts Direct . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
