Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The E4 fault code implies the drying time has exceeded the program time for the cycle.  E5 implies the dryer is not heating or it did not detect heat.

I assume the when start is pushed, the motor hums instead of actually starting and running. If the motor is humming and not starting, the drum could be jammed, the blowerwheel could have something in it jamming the motor, it could have a faulty motor or a loose wire connection in the motor circuit. It could also have a faulty control board. If the motor is running and the drum is not spinning would indicate a broken drive belt of the belt derailed from the motor pulley. You can check the belt from the back of th dryer. See images below.

When power is connected to the dryer, line 1 is applied to the COM terminal of the door switch. When the door is closed, the COM terminal is connected to terminal NO of the door switch. From terminal NO, power is applied to terminal J4-2 of the control board to the motor relayRL 1 on the control board. When the control board closes relay RL 1, power is applied through terminal J4- 1 to terminal M4 of the drive motor.

When the motor is not turning, the start winding and the runwinding are connected in parallel. When the contacts of relay RL 1 are closed, with the dryer door closed, line 1 and neutral voltage are applied across both the start and run windings of the drivemotor. With power applied to both the start and run windings, the motor starts to turn.

I added three images below to reference.  Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.

Be sure to disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your dryer. The error code E68 is a stuck button error code. I recommend checking each button to make sure it loose in the plastic console. The button should rock side to side a little bit. If all the buttons are loose you can try to reset the unit control by unplugging the dryer for two minutes. If the error code comes back you will need to replace the unit control. The error code E4A is a Program Time out Fault. Press PAUSE CANCEL and SELECT buttons for 6 seconds to exit test modes. Position cycle selector to NORMAL, temperature selector to HIGH HEAT and touch START. Check for anything that would extend dry times such as: no heat, restricted vent, blower fan blade broken or loose, dryer installed in closet with solid door, or bad connection in moisture sensor bar circuit or dirty bars. If dryer operates normally but code returns, replace electronic control. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
