Thank you for your question. I understand your concern about the icemaker. Normally when replacing an icemaker, a good rule of thumb will be to, give it 24 hours. A good way to speed this process up will be to, manually place approx. 4.5 ounces of water, in the mold. If it still won't work, I recommend checking the freezer temperature. If it's gets above 12 degrees, the icemaker may not cycle. To check the temperature, place a thermometer between some packages. Air temp is not a good check. If the temperature is in the 12 degree range, usually adjusting the control to a colder setting, will correct this problem. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the water overflowing the icemaker. Usually in this type of situation, the water valve will need to be replaced. It is possible the icemaker could be at fault but its not as likely. First, try adjusting the water level at the icemaker. Im attaching a picture with instructions to adjust the water fill. If it still overfills, the water valve will probably need to be replaced. To determine for sure if the icemaker or water valve has failed now, you will need to actually time the water fill. It should fill for 7.5 seconds. If the fill time lasts longer than this, the icemaker # D7824706Q will need to be replaced. If the time is ok, replace the water valve # 67005154. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
