Question and Answers

Q:

Hot Water constantly running out of small valve(?) on lower left side. ADW1100N10WW Ge Dishwasher

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your dishwasher and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number ADW1100N10WW and from your description I would suspect and issue with the valve itself staying open and allowing water to continue to flow. I recommend testing the float switch item 490. If the switch is fine then you may have a defective timer item 904. Here is a link for a video that may help with additional troubleshooting. I have included a link to our Parts Direct page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. I trust this information will help you.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

Q:

Dishwasher shuts off during cycle ADW1100N10WW Ge Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your GE dishwasher.

From the information you have provided above, i also believe it would be the timer that would have to be replaced. The timer isn’t clicking over allowing the dishwasher to run through the full cycle. For the most part it is something the average home owner can replace. The repair should be about 20 minutes of your time. The part number for the timer is WD16X10010 and may be ordered on searspartsdirect.com. You can also check locally on searspartsdirect.com to see if any stores in you r area carry the timer.  I have located a couple of videos to get you an idea of what you’re up against. Click here for the video.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

Rattling noise in dishwasher

A:

Thank you for your question. I think your assessment is correct.  There is likely something in the pump, sump inlet, or chamber collection assembly. I see a history that shows the collection assembly can be brittle and collapse. You will need to disconnect the dishwasher, pull it out to gain access to the pump and pump housing.  It is time and labor consuming, but if you feel confident, the images below and this video will help with the project. Once you can examine the parts, you can order if needed at Sears Parts Direct. If further help is needed, please reply.  Thank you for using Manage My Life.
