Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details I would suspect the console assembly with the overlay will need to be replaced and not the control board. There is not a test for the control panel so I suggest checking the ribbon connection on the control board that's attached to the console assembly.

If the connections are okay, replacing the console assembly will most likely resolve the failure. NOTE: Disconnect the dishwasher from the power supply before removing the control panel and checking the connections.

You can look up the console and color needed at Searspartsdirect.com for Amana dishwasher model ADB1600AWW1.

  • W10261437 is Black
  • W10261438 is White
  • W10290183 is Biscuit
I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks for the tip and link. I am pretty sure the door switch works because when I opened the door, it stopped the cycle and the Start/Resume light started blinking. It just wont restart when I push the Start button.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details it sounds like it may have door latch or door switch issue. It may not be sensing the door shut or the door switch is intermittently not closing and completing the circuit.

I added three images below to reference.

This may be the issue. If not, please reply and I will be glad to assist you further.

Thanks for the information. I followed the procedure to test the control panel and found out the panel could be bad. Upon close inspection of the flex circuit on the control panel, there are some corrosion of the traces. I will order a new panel and see if I can get it to work. Thanks again.
