I know it's frustrating when the refrigerator doesn't cool. The information you have received is correct about the air diffuser. Also check for a restricted return air vent. To make this check, feel the air flow coming out of the air diffuser (control damper). If there is not much air flow, open the freezer door and if the air flow increases, it indicates the return air vents are stopped up and causing this problem. There is a heater kit # R9900471 to help prevent this from occurring. A technician will be required to install this heater kit.

If the air flow from the air diffuser (control damper # 13 in picture) does not increase when the freezer door is open, the control damper # 67003903 will probably need to be replaced.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
