Q:

Amana ABB 1924wew0 bottom-freezer refrigerator evaporator tube is likely plugged. How do I get to it?

A:

I know how important it is to know the location of most parts when you are making repairs. I did some research for you at Managemylife.com and found a link in where you can enter your appliance model number and a parts list diagram will pop up that may help until your expert can respond to your specific question. The link is attached below. If you do decide to schedule service and have a qualified technician help you, I have also attached a link to Searshomeservices.com. I hope these links provided assistance for you.

Thank you for your question. Removing some parts can sometimes be a little tricky. There may be a hook or tab in the rails that could be holding the basket but these baskets should pull out and then lift the basket to remove them. With the baskets out, you can remove the screws holding the back panel in place and the panel will then pull out. Hot water will need to be used to clear the drain hole. Be sure to disconnect power to the unit before removing the back panel. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
