Q:

Heater air handler fan won't come on when on "auto" Goodman A48-20

A:

I recommend that you shut off the electrical breakers for the system and check the wiring on the thermostat. You could have a loose or broken wire. Use the installation guide for a reference on the wiring. If you don't have the installation guide, then you may need to have a service technician examine and repair the system. You can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services Heating & Cooling Repair.

I can understand your concern. The model number listed shows this to be an electric furnace. This type of furnace does not require venting. However, I strongly recommend having a technician come out to check this. This may also require a contractor, to check what the vent goes to. This is a situation where, only a visual inspection, will give you the information you need. I would not recommend covering this until it's known, what the vent goes to. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . I'm also listing another site you can access. I recommend that you use a pre-screened professional from the ServiceLive.com website. I hope this will help you. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
