I am sorry you are having a problem with the mower. I will be happy to assist you. I usually do not have a problem with the springs coming off this type of engine. The spring usually will be somewhat loose until the engine starts. If you think they are not connected correctly, I recommend watching a video I found. Click here to watch the video. During the video, you will see how the springs are connected. If you find that the springs are connected correctly and the engine will not start, I recommend checking the diaphragm and cleaning the carburetor. The video shows how to clean the carburetor.
