Q:

Manual 93420111 Craftsman 85 amp mig welder

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I didn't see a model specific manual available for this MIG welder, but I was able to locate one within the same model series that should be very helpful for operation. I have linked it below for convenience. Just don't use the parts section for part identification as the parts could be somewhat different, but the operations and maintenance will be handy.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

craftsman welder #934.20105 arcs to work surface. help!

A:

It sounds like there may be a problem with the gun cable on your welder. Normally when this happens, the tip is causing the problem. You replaced the tip and I assume it's tight enough, so if the problem is still happening then it has to be something that's going on with the lead.

Thank you for your question on changing the polarity so you can use the self-shielding flux wire.

I do not have the wiring diagram but what I remember is that you will need to switch the positive and negative wires on the terminal block next to the feed roller.

Do not switch the wire on the end of the gun where it connects to the terminal block, just the two wires from the inside connections on the terminal block.

I do not know what happened to the sticker on the unit. Maybe they stopped putting them in there but the manual still say's to look for it.

If you need more information I can request the wiring diagram from the manufacture in you need me too.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I have contacted Lincoln and they said that this was a Century model 117-047. I went to the Century site and I have downloaded and printed their manual that has the images and instructions for the Polarity change. I thank you for your help and you shoul get their manual as it has some additional information that the Dears owners manual does not have. Thank you, David.
