Q:

Kooltron fan motor installation problem

A:

I know how important it is to have the correct part when replace a non working part so that your appliance will continue working great. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did manage to find a link in where you can enter your appliance model number and a parts list diagram will pop up to guide you with your project. I hope my link is useful.

Thank you for your question on the Kooltron.

I called and talked and also talked to Dave at Kooltron support. He mentioned that he had spoken to you.

He said the correct part number should be F70035 for the part. This part does not run in our system.

I have contacted the parts buyer at corporate office and I will work with him to see about getting the correct part for this old Kooltron model.

I would return this part for credit since the 01-004 is the incorrect part for you Kooltron.

I am sorry that I was not able to get to you sooner but I am glad you were able to talk to Dave on the support line in Canada.

Please let me know if you have found the part and if not please let me know what I can do for you.

Sam A.

Thanks for the answer. In talking to Dave at Kooltron he suggested I could take a 12V 3"computer cooling fan and mount it in the place of the bad motor. I had a 12V brushless motor with the blade attached. I managed to "mickeymouse" a mount using bolts/nuts through the air vents. Wired in the proper wire harness from bad motor and it seems to be working fine. I have the part # that Dave gave me ( and you ) I'll be going on a 5 day road trip tomorrow and if it works OK maybe I'll leave it the way it is. Thanks again for your help, this was the first time using Managemylife.com
