Q:

Oil Change 921166370 Craftsman Air compressor

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly assist you in locating the instructions to change the oil on your air compressor. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found that your unit takes SAE 30 non-detergent oil and the oil capacity is 90ml or 3oz.

There is a plastic plug from the oil intake port that will need to be removed.
The little sight glass is threaded into the side of the compressor pump. You can remove it to drain some of the oil from the pump reservoir.

Let me know if this helps.

Normally when this happens it is either the check valve causing the problem or there is an issue with the valve plate assembly. Because of the way the valve plate is designed, there isn't really a way to check it. To look at it, it would look perfectly normal even if it's bad. To add to the problem, the valve plate is not a serviceable part from the manufacturer.

That being said, I would replace the check valve (E101208) let's see if that takes care of the issue.

You can go HERE to order the check valve is needed.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!

My compressor sounds great but won't build any pressure. The reed valve looks ok but I'm not sure what I'm looking for either. Any suggestions?
