Q:

Sears air compressor

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the air compressor. I looked up the model number you submitted. Your model has a manifold integrated with the regulator. In order to repair this you will need to assemble a new manifold out of a series of pipefittings. I recommend removing the old manifold and draw a diagram of how the air flows. Then determine what types of fittings you will need to make the manifold. You will be able to pick up the materials from your local hardware store. When assembling the manifold I recommend wrapping the threads with Teflon tape.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

There isn't another assembly that is listed specifically to replace the one you have. My experience has been that any of them that will screw into place will work. It may mean adding a section of pipe or something along those lines, but it's not something that you shouldn't be able to work around. If you stop by your local Sears (or anywhere that sells compressors) and look for one that has a regulator with the same size plumbing, you can order that piece (from the newer model) and use it on yours.

Thank You for Submitting your question to ManageMyLife.com

I can understand your frustration when your air compressor is not working properly. Based on your description it sounds like your pressure switch has gone bad. The pressure switch till the machine when the tank is full. After researching your model I found that due to the age of the product the pressure switch is no longer available. What I suggest is to try putting the part number into a search engine to see if someone has a used (working) pressure switch that you can purchase off them. The part number for your model is Z-CAC-4220-2

I hope this helps. Good Luck in your search! Thank you for using ManageMyLife!
