Q:

Red fluid leak 919167610 Craftsman Air compressor

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the air compressor and seeing that red fluid leak.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your model number 919.167610.

Sounds like  you have oil coming out of the oil fill plug, that suggests to me that the piston seals are leaking which is why you dont have the air pressure you should be getting.   Rather than being diredcted into the tank, it is blowing by the seals and pressurizing the sump.

You will need to look at it by taking the head off.   You will at least need the two o-ring seals and maybe the piston and cylander.   Sorry about that.

Good luck, If you have further questions please let me know.
Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

Q:

got new pressure switch for my compressor but it is not the same

A:

The right part is critical to completing the repair once and correctly. I checked the diagrams and parts list at Sears Parts Direct below and also show the part number listed fits this model. The expert will review and respond within 24-48 hours if not sooner. I hope this gets cleared up so the compressor gets repaired.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the air compressor. I have looked up the pressure switch. The pressure switch part number has not changed. I suspect you have received the wrong part. I recommend contacting Searspartsdirect and have them exchange the switch for you.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
