Question and Answers

Q:

what is the replacement part number for the electric motor? 919165010 Craftsman Air compressor

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Craftsman Air Compressor, Model: 919.165010. From reviewing the details on your model, it appears that the motor is no longer available through the original manufacturer. At this point in time, I’m not seeing a substitution part for this motor. Since we deal only in OEM parts once the manufacture has is as no longer available there would be no way for use to obtain this specific part. The only recommendation I could give is looking for the motor on aftermarket websites or stores.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day.

Q:

air compressor not filling tank after restart Craftsman Air compressor

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the motor not starting when the tank is pressurized. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.
This will most likely be the check valve on the compressor. If it sticks then air pressure will build on top of the piston causing the motor not to be able to raise the piston past that air pressure to get started. If the motor runs fine when there is no air in the tank then the capacitor is fine. I feel like if you swap out the check valve you'll be back to compressing air in no time. The part number for the check valve is A19711. I have linked it below for convenience.

Hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
