Thank you for your question. I am sorry you are having a problem with the air compressor. I suspect the problem with the compressor is a defective start capacitor. To be sure this is the problem, move the compressor to a different outlet. Plug the compressor directly into the outlet and check the operation. If the compressor does the same thing and providing you do not hear any leaks, I recommend replacing the start capacitor. The capacitor is located on the motor. To access it you will need to remove the motor cover. Then you will see two humps on the motor. This is where the capacitors are located. Remove the covers to expose the capacitor. Remove the capacitor and purchase a replacement from a local electrical supply house. You have to find the capacitor locally because the manufacturer does not offer the capacitor separately.
