Question and Answers

Q:

where can I find valve plate for my compressor(919152911} 919152911 Craftsman Air compressor

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about a replacement valve plate for your Craftsman air compressor model 919152911. I am so sorry valve plate needs to be replaced and to inform you that the manufacturer no longer makes this part. Sears only provides replacement part numbers when the manufacturer guarantees the replacement will fit and function correctly on the product. They have not made a replacement part in this case. This means we are unable to get the part for you.

I recommend using conducting a search on the internet for the part number of the valve plate (ACG-402). You may be able to find a parts warehouse that still has the part in stock, or possibly a used part. Because we cannot guarantee the quality of parts that you purchase this way, we caution you to review the site’s return policy before making such a purchase.

Because some parts are no longer available for your air compressor, you may want to put the cost of the part towards a new compressor. I have included the link below for you to view what we currently have available.

Q:

well? 919152911 Craftsman Air compressor

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the air compressor. We usually do not have problems with these model air compressor breaking rods. If your model broke a rod, I recommend checking the rod bearing. If the bearing is locking up or out of balance it could cause the rod to break. If the bearing seems fine, I recommend looking at the top of the piston. You are looking for impact damage on it. If you see any, I recommend inspecting the valve plate. I have seen one of the reeds break and cause the piston to jam and break the rod. If the top of the piston looks fine, I recommend replacing the piston/cylinder kit and the eccentric. The parts for the unit can be ordered from the following link. Replacement parts for a Craftsman air compressor model 919152911.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired by a Sears  technician.  Here is a link that will provide the nearest drop-off locations:  Sears Home Services

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
