trimmer mow ball assembly

Those parts should be inter-changeable with no problems. When the older machine was made, the parts were not available together as they are with the newer model and the parts information was just never updated.

thx. i noticed the part no. of mow ball bolt (key #39) for trimmer 917773750 is 172636 whereas the no. for trimmer 917773744 is180334. do i need a new bolt for my old machine if i replace the worn-out parts with a new mow ball assembly?

I believe the old bolt will work. But I cannot be certain of that as there are no notes on the differences and if they will work on either machine.
