Thank you for your question on the oil coming out of the filler spout.

If you have the filler dip stick on tight and the oil is still spitting out of the cap then I would think that the crankcase breather is getting plugged and creating pressure in the crankcase instead of a vacuum.

If the oil is the correct level on the dip stick then I would suggest replacing the breather under the blower cover and fly wheel.

It is on the other end of the hose going to the air box you where referring too.

Breather for Tecumseh engine model 143.006714 .

The muffler for your lawnmower is no longer available for ordering.

Most all Tecumseh engines, which is the engine on your mower, have threads inside the exhaust port in the block.

Both Tecumseh and Briggs and Stratton make a muffler with threads on the outside that will screw into the exhaust outlet on your engine.

I can't get the part number of the muffler to give you. If you will check at Sears, Loewes, and Home Depot, you can find one of these mufflers.
