Q:

put back a left side of ajuster on model @917379071 917379071 Craftsman Rotary mower

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. I regret to hear that you are having issues with your mower and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 917379071 and if your e clip is not attaching to the shaft, it may be that the clip may need to be pryed opened just a bit to allow the ring to snap in to place. If you can clearly see that the channel that the clip snaps into is badly misshapen the transmission will have to be replaced. If the pinion gear can not slide thru the shaft to sit in its place due to the bend on the shaft, the tranmission will need to be replaced. The clip can be slightly pryed opened or slightly closed. I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.
