Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the mower. I will be happy to assist you with the repair. First, remove the belt cover on the front of the mower. Then start the engine and engage the drive. If the belt is turning the pulley on the top of the transmission, the belt tension should be fine. While the drive is still engaged, look on the side of the transmission at the drive axles. If they are turning, the cable and transmission are ok. The problem is like worn gears on the inside of the wheel. To check the wheels stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Then lift the front of the mower and support it with a block of wood. Use a wrench to remove the nut that secures the wheel. Once the nut is removed, you can slide the wheel off. Then look at the inside of the wheel. If the plastic teeth on the inside of the wheel are worn off, the wheel should be replaced. The parts for the mower can be ordered from the following link.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

There is a pulley located under the motor shaft. The drive belt drives the pulley on the gear case. Based on your symptom, the belt has likely come off the motor pulley. You will have to remove the blade and cover to access the pulley and belt.

  • Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire where it cannot come in contact with plug.
  • Turn lawn mower on its side. Make sure air filter and carburetor are up.
  • Use a wood block between blade and mower housing to prevent blade from turning when re moving blade bolt.
NOTE: Protect your hands with gloves and/or wrap blade with heavy cloth.
  • Remove blade bolt by turning counterclockwise.
  • Remove blade and attaching hard ware (bolt, lock washer, hardened washer).
NOTE: Remove the blade adapter and check the key inside hub of blade adapter. The key must be in good condition to work properly. Replace adapter if damaged.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
