Next, view the parts diagram on page 38. The front wheels are key number 11. I have included the link for you to view and order this part also.

The wheels are sold individually so I recommend you order two of each. When replacing the wheels, I recommend you replace both sides at the same time. That way they will wear evenly.

I hope this answers your question. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

Need to know woodruff key PN that goes with mower blade adapter to attach to engine shaft

A:

Making sure all necessary parts will be included with the parts order is a good idea. You don't want to realize something is missing when you start the repair. I attached the link to Sears Parts Direct below. A suggestion I have is to use the contact information and speak directly to the knowledgeable people there. The online parts list does not verify if it is included. The expert may have a better answer but hope this helps!

Barbara H, Thanks. I have looked at the two figure in the parts manual and the key is not shown or identified. Dose not specify whether it is included with the blade adapter, so I assume it is not. I also called the Sears help line and was not able to get a definite answer their either. They checked several other resources but could not tell me a PN. Very fustrating. Thanks for your help. Maybe one of their experts will be able to answer the question.

Problem solved! In another similar thread the question was answered, the key is built into the blade adapter. Answered by a Wade B. here: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions/217919-mower-model-917376697-pn-shaft-key-used-install-46-pn-194037-blade-adapter-eng-shaft-key-included-pn-194037-1

The key is made onto the blade adapter piece. Some of the older ones have a key that is a stand alone part, but yours isn't that old.

A:

The key is made into the blade adapter on that model (and most, for that matter). Make sure to put some anti-seize compound or grease on the shaft before you put the adapter on. The reason for that is that as the mower ages, that adapter tends to get stuck on the shaft and sometime down the road if you need to take it back off, it may not come easily (if at all) without something being put on it.
