First thing you'll have to do is make sure mower is unplugged. Take a the two screws out of the battery cover, one on left and right. Remove battery with cover then replace. Battery part #189589 and charger # 428626. I recommend changing out the charger when ever getting a new battery. Samantha, thank you for responding! I was looking for the battery down around the engine area...DUH! OK...so I went over to Sears and purchased a new battery, and as I removed the old one, the battery terminals (engine connector double male terminal) were severely corroded, and the whole connector just fell apart. (one terminal had obviously been very hot, and the plastic was very brittle) I looked at the parts available from Sears for this unit, and these terminal connectors do not appear to be available. Also, the charger has good output, but needs a terminal repair as well, as it has an intermittent open in the charger double male connector. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can obtain duplicates of these terminals? I'm thinking of just converting all the terminals to another type that is readily available, but hate to change the design unless I have to.
