Q:

MY ENGINE WON,T START .SPARK IS FINE. CAN NOT PRIME. WHAT ARE SOME CAUSES FOR THIS? PRIOR TO THIS, I COULD START ENGINE _ BUT ONLY BY PRIMMING CONSTANTLY.

A:

Pushing the primer to keep the lawnmower running had to be a frustrating process. While you wait for the expert answer, you can check some information I found from a web site. I also attached the owner's manual. The troubleshooting guide usually helps me. Hope this helps!

Be sure the gas in the mower is less than 5 weeks old or has fuel stabilizer in it.

Remove the air cleaner and press the primer 5 times. Press and release the primer and then press again. Look into the carburetor while you are priming and you should see the fuel spraying into the carburetor.

Pull the starter rope 8-10 times and remove the spark plug. If the spark plug tip is wet with fuel, the engine has no spark. This can be caused by a bad spark plug, ignition module, or the kill wire attached to the ignition module being grounded.

If the tip of the spark plug is dry, the carburetor probably has some stopped up fuel and air passages and needs to be rebuilt and cleaned or replaced.
