Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem finding the spark plug. I am not sure if you have tried an auto parts store yet but they usually carry this plug. If they are out of stock, they should have the equivalent in a different manufacture.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

I'm also trying to locate a Champion RC12YX spark pulg, with no luck so far. PLease let me know if anyone knows where to acquire the Champion RC12YX plug. It was the original plug that was in my lawn tractor when I acquired it new last year. Have already been to all the normal auto parts stores and a small engine shop and they have nothing on this plug. Per my parts list through "Sears", the substitute plug for my tractor is a Champion RC12YC. My reasearch so far indicates that the letter "X" in the plug description stands for "fine wire" and the letter "C" stands for "normal wire" (the electrode wire coming out of the base of the plug). Talked to Briggs & Stratton and they were at a loss also, even though this plug was in a brand new B&S engine. My tractor is not performing quite as good with the RC12YC as it did with the RC12YX.

ALLEN, Thank you for posting the cross reference number for the RC12YC. The Y on the end of the spark plug stands for "standard projected core nose". The C stands for "Copper plus design". There is a chart on sparkplugs.com that explains what the numbers and letters mean on the spark plugs. I hope this is helpful. Thank you for using Manage my life. Mark.
