I have a self propeled mower that will not move

Pushing mowers through thick grass can tire the operator out very fast. I understand your need to have the self propel function operating properly. While you wait for the expert to review your model you might want to take a look at a previous expert answer I attached in the first link below. I also added the owner's manual for your mower. I find the troubleshooting guide for my mower has helped me with many problems.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the mower. I will be happy to assist you with the repair. I recommend removing the belt cover first. Then start the mower and engage the drive. When the drive lever is pulled the pulley on the top of the transmission should be turning. If it is not turning the problem is either the belt is off or the cable is stretched.

If the pulley is turning, I recommend removing the wheels and check the teeth inside of the wheel. If the teeth look fine, the problem is most likely in the pinions. You can remove the pinions and clean then with brake cleaner. The image below shows how the pinions should be put back together.

Please let me know if you need further assistance on the repair of the mower.
