The carburetor linkage connections vary from model to model as they were started and the links and spring moved to attain maximum performance from the engine.

I don't need to tell you that you should always make a diagram or take a picture before disconnecting wiring and carburetor linkage.

I am sending you some images showing different carburetor linkage connections for Briggs and Stratton horizontal engines. Look at the images and find the one closest to your engine and carburetor. This will give you the original linkage connections. You might need to move the link and spring to different holes in the governor arm and the throttle plate to get smooth running and max acceleration.

ron, there is no factory set up manual. I looked at the parts diagram as you recommended. I understand which spring and linkages you are talking about. As I explained earlier, the images I sent give you the general installation for the links and spring. The links and spring might need to be moved to different holes for smoother engine operation. You are not bother and I am glad to help. What I have sent you is all the information we have pertaining to linkage for the governor and carburetor.
