Q:

procedure to purge automatic transmission? 917289342 Craftsman Tractor

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

The transmission purge steps are included in the owner's manual for this tractor on page 14, and continuing on page 15. I would recommend visiting Sears Parts and download the manual for the tractor if you do not have it.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

why wont my riding lawn mower pull it self 917289342 Craftsman Tractor

Q:

My front wheels do not face straight, one goes left the other right. What parts will correct this? 917289342 Craftsman Tractor

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you. I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

There could be something that is bent in the steering assembly. I would check the right and left hand drag links and make sure one is not bent. If one is bent it will affect both sides. So replacing one or both of the drag links should bring your wheels back to normal.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.
