Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your mower and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 917276902 and engine model cv740-0032 and from your description I suspect that the ignition module/coil is failing or has a weak spark. Your mower uses 2 ignition coils. A failing module will run proper for a few minutes then weaken or completely stop. If you let the machine cool for a few hours and it runs fine, the module will need replacing. Gap between the flywheel and module is .008 - .012. Thanks for your reply Sherman. The engine still seems to run fine it is the hydrostatic transmission that will not work after about 10-15 minutes of use. After the intital 10-15 minutes the tractor will not move but the engine runs fine, the drive belt is fine and so are all of the pulleys. I have replaced the oil in the transaxle twice and purged the air from it as describe on the Hydro-Gear website. I am not sure what else to try other than having the transmission rebuilt or replaced. Im looking at your model number 917276902 and recommend inspecting all the moving parts that are attached to the pedal control rod. It is possible that another part is damaged and not allowing the rod to work as it should. What point is the rod breaking at? I appreciate any additional information.
