Q:

Is there safety feature turning off blade engagement? lt3000

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

In order for us to see the specifics of the tractor, we would need the model number. The LT3000 is a series type and does not identify the tractor. The model is under the seat and will start with 247 or 917.

If this is a 247 tractor, there is a safety switch by the deflector sheild that may have come unplugged or damaged from the hit. You will need to thoroughly inspect the shield and check the switch connection, and or replace it.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the tractor stalling. I know how frustrating that is.

This could be an issue with any of the safety switches on the tractor, as they run in circuit. You will need to pull all three switches; the clutch/brake interlock switch, the PTO interlock switch, and the seat switch and test them for continuity with a meter. I have posted a video below that will show you how to properly test these switches.
