Q:

craftman garden tractor model#917.276120 turning to the right only halfways 917.276120

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

Tractors will naturally turn sharper left than they will to the right because of the deflector. However, this could also be due to a worn steering component, such as the spindle, tie rod, or drag link. It could also have something to do with the sector gear where it mates with the steering shaft gear.

I would start with the basics and lubricate the the axle fittings, and lubricate the sector gear, and do a visual inspection of the various steering components looking for wear or damage.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

mower mowing too low 917.276120

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I recommend checking the tire pressure first, especially in the rear of the tractor. Tire pressure makes a big difference. If the tires are fine, I recommend adjusting the mower deck. Just follow the adjustment procedures in the manual. Inspect the lift linkage while adjusting the deck to see if either is bent. Outside of these checks, there would be no further adjustment of the deck.

I hope that helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
