Question and Answers

Q:

Will snowblower unit 486-248392 fit 917-288110? 917-288110

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

You are correct; snow thrower attachment 24837 is recommended for both of those tractor models. The mounting brackets between 24839 and 24837 are different, but if the snow thrower fits onto 917.274821, then it should also mount to 917.288110. The snow thrower attachments will fit multiple models, but the biggest issue is between 247 and 917 starting tractor models where special bracket kits would be needed. I think you'd be okay with the attachment working on either model.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

Why would oil be entering the fuel pump? 917274821 Craftsman Tractor

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. I regret to hear that you are having issues with your mower and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 917274821. Even with a small tear in the fuel pump membrane the crankcase pressuse will be higher than the fuel line oil entering the gas and vise versa. I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.

Q:

Connections to Fuel Pump part #697090 917.274821

A:

Hi,

There should be a copper colored screen on the pump that has a connection close to it. This is the pulse line from the engine block or the breather/valve cover. This is the line that runs the pump.

The other conncections are for the fuel lines. It doesn't make much difference which ones go where.

Hope this helps

Wayne.
