I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your lawn tractor. The only rods that I am seeing that are used for the lift system are the lift links. These are part numbers 175370 for the left and 175371 for the right. You will need to identify which one is damage before ordering it. I have include an image of the parts diagram below. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Hello. My thanks to all of you for your assistance. I ordered new lift links and all supporting hardware. I've learned long ago that if one is weak, chances are the other will follow suit so all new replacement parts it is. I've ordered, received and not bad. $50 including shipping. Now all I have to do is figure out how to access the top connection point (praying that I don't have to remove the deck) I'm about to go out and put it in the air now and start. Sunday evening at 8:30! Can you tell that I'm anxious (and bored?) My mothers companion tried to mow Saturday, disregarding the note saying not to use the mower and now there is yet another broken part which looks kind of like a "U" bent out of shape,.. God only knows what that is or was.... I'll keep you all advised. regards, Curt

Q:

running problem with riding lawn tractor

A:

The tractor shutting off like this would be upsetting. While you wait for the expert to review this model and respond, I did locate a similar question if you would like to check it for help. I also added the Sears Home Services link if a technician is needed. I hope these links help.

Hello Charles,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with your lawn tractor and I would like to assist you with it. I have included a diagram of your tractor's wiring system and have traced the wire that goes to the seat switch. From the description, that seems to be the most likely candidate at this point. Do not operate the tractor in this condition, but unhooking the seat switch will give a quick answer for this test. If this corrects the issue, re-install the switch and take care to ensure that it is fully seated in the housing and re-test it.

Please let me know if there is anything further that I may assist you with.

Thank you for your question on the blade pattern for the 48 inch deck.

I think you are looking for the center hub pattern for the blade.

If you are looking for the contour of the cutting ends of the blade there are a couple of different patterns.

One is a wavy style for mulching and the other is the high lift for discharging and bagging.

I will give you the part numbers for both style blades.

Reference the links below for the blades and pictures of blades.

48inch hi lift blade for tractor .

48inch mulching blade for tractor .

Thank you for the clarification on the deck blades. I apologize that I misunderstood your question. Your mower deck does not have timed blades. When you put the new blades on they should miss each other by less than a 1/4 of an inch tip to tip. You would need a cogged pulley and belt system, or gear boxes to have timed blades. Sam A.
