Q:

Bagger for Craftsman 917273360?

A:

Having a bagger for the tractor would be great. I did do some research and found the bagger for this model is 24911. It is made by American Yard Products. I am adding the link below to help you with your question while you wait for your expert response. I do hope that this will help you with the tractor.

Thank for submitting your question. The 24897 bagger will work for your tractor because it's the substituted bagger for your original one. You can order the bagger from our Sears Parts Direct web site or from our Sears.com web site. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Q:

Mower Deck model #

A:

Having parts of two different model mowers in one would make anyone think twice before buying parts. The expert will review this situation and respond with two business days, if not sooner. I did attach the original model from Sears Parts Direct below if needed. This is a great question for the "new" guys from an old hand.

Check the shifter down where it connects to the transmission. With the engine off, just move the handle from reverse to forward and see if the plate on the side of the transmission moves when you move the handle. If it does not there is most likely a problem with the linkage. If it does move when you move the shifter then the problem is going to be inside the transmission. That's not something I recommend you trying to take care of it. The hydrostatic transmission is a hydraulic pump and it requires special tools and training to properly make repairs to them.

You may try purging the transmission if the machine has sat for any amount of time. With the bypass lever pulled out, crank the engine and move the shift lever to forward for 4 seconds then back to reverse for 4 seconds. Cycle that back/forth about 6-8 times and then engage the bypass lever and do the same thing. If it still does not move forward any then I recommend you contact Sears Home Services to have a technician come take a look at the machine.
