Q:

tractor won't shift or move

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you’re having with the tractor. I know how frustrating that is.

It sounds like the clutch is not fully "clutching" the belt, meaning that when you push the clutch pedal the belt is not fully going slack as it should. What that means is that the belt may still be moving slightly, if the belt is moving the gears in the transmission are moving. If they are moving, then you would have to force it to go in or out of a gear.

On top of the transaxle, there is a shift rod and fork assembly. If that is the case, when you look down in the shifter hole if you see 2 forks, up/down or side/side from each other, all you need to do is use a screw driver or something to line them up. Once they're lined up you place the shifter in and it should kind of pop into place. Then you can tighten it down enough to where you can move the shifter without the whole assembly moving around and test it out by going in and out of gear.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you. I have removed linkage to transmission, leaving shot linkage arm attached to transmission. I cannot move arm, does that mean transmission is frozen ? Does this better explain problem - Bob

Q:

wiring diagram not in manual

A:

Electrical repairs pretty much require electrical diagrams. I also tried the online manual and ran into the same issue. I was able to locate another copy of the manual and attached to the link below. It does have the additional pages. I hope this is what you needed.
