Q:

Engine quits when turnng on pto or letting out clutch 917258872

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with your range. Upon researching model 79075233310; typically when this sort of thing happens it's due to a problem with the seat switch. Check the seat switch to make sure the plug is secure. If it is and you still have the problem,

For Testing Purposes Only

use an insulated wire to jumper across the plug to the seat switch and then try the mower again. If it still dies when you engage the blades it is most likely going to be the relay. At that point, take the jumper wire off the seat switch plug and connect back to the seat switch and then replay the relay.

If the mower does fine with the seat switch plug jumped, the seat switch is faulty and should be replaced.

I trust that this information will help you, thank you have a great day.

Q:

48" snowblade parts list 917258872 Craftsman Tractor

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

In order to see the parts list for the snow thrower attachment, you'll need to identify the model number for the unit. The model specific snow thrower attachment is a 42" with a model of 486.24837. However, this would not be the one because it's a 42". The model tag should be on the auger housing. Without a model number, you will not be able to identify it for replacement parts.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

A:

Josh, thanks but it is a snowblade(or plow) that I have not a thrower. The part number was on the top right part of the blade, starting with 486 and ending with 0333. I lost the other numbers due to wear. The 48" snowblade that fits this lawn tractor, specifically the lift parts, complete with locking nut and trunion, are the part numbers I need. I ordered other parts , I guess for a newer version, but the nut and trunion are too large. I actually can use the trunion, by grinding the sides down, but I would rather have the right part. I had misplaced both manuals for tractor and blade, which is why I am in this situation.
