I do believe that it will. I show your tractor has a solid plate on the very back. If so, then the 248971 should connect up to it.

Honestly, I don't. I think it's just the years they were made most likely. I'm only able to look at the drawings and the sales material for the current models. Anything sold prior to this year and I only have the parts drawings for them to use as reference.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the tractor. I will be happy to assist you. The engine on your tractor has an alternator under the flywheel. To check the alternator you will need a volt ohmmeter. If you have a meter, open the hood and look on the side of the engine. You are looking for a red wire with a white plug. This is the alternator wire. Disconnect the wire and connect your meter lead to the wire coming from the engine. Then place the other meter to the engine block. With the meter turned to check dc volts start the engine and run it at hi speed. You should have a reading of at least 13 volts. If you do not have this reading, I recommend replacing the stator coil. The part number for the stator is 696459 and can be ordered from the following link.
