Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. The tie rod should have come preset. To determine if the tie rod is the correct length, move the shifter to neutral. Then move the tractor by hand. If the tractor moves fine and the shifter is in the neutral position the tie rod is fine. If you have to move the shifter almost to the reverse slot to get it to shift to neutral the tie rod has to be shortened. To change the length of the rod you will need to loosen the nuts on the rod. Then turn the center rod to change the length. Turning it in one direction will lengthen the rod and the other will shorten the tie rod. Once you have gotten the required length, tighten the nuts.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the new switch. I recommend checking the letters on the terminals of both switches. They should match. If the do not match the wrong part was sent. I have looked up the new switch and I do see lugs on the backside near the terminals. I have posted an image below showing what the switch should look like. If the lugs are longer than the lugs pictured the part is either wrong or manufactured incorrectly. In either case, I recommend reordering the switch. If you happen to have a digital camera, you can add a picture of the switch and the plug to this post. Once I see the switch, I will be able to give you better advice.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
