Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. I looked up the model number you submitted. According to the parts list the tractor has a six-speed transaxle. This type of transaxle does not have a pump. It only uses 80W90. I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Mark.

Q:

Correct fluid for Sears 16 hp twin yard tractor

A:

I understand that you want to know what kind of fluids your tractor uses. Something that will have this type of information is your owners manual. I was able to locate your owners manual here on the Manage My Life website. I attached it in the link below. I hope this is helpful. Have a great day.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry for the lag time I was trying to find the information. According to the service manual, the hydro pump requires ATF fluid and the differential requires 80W90. There should be a plug on the top of the differential to add the 80W90 oil.

Please let me know if you need further assistance on the tractor.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Thanks for the information. Alina: Thanks for the link for the manual. The model number was slightly differently, though, and it looks like that model didn't have the hydrostatic drive. Mark: Do you happen to have a link that I could see the manual at? I'm just trying to make certain that the Hydro pump really does take ATF since the majority of people are telling me that it takes 10W-30 or 20W-50 motor oil, but none of them have a copy of the manual either. Thanks again for the help.
