I am sending you the wiring schematic for model 917.25520. This is not the schematic for a Suburban tractor. You would get better advice for the wiring of your tractor from an auto mechanic. The starter/generator on the tractor is the same as the ones on older General Motors products.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know how old this 12 hp lawn tractor is.

I have very little information on this tractor.

It has a 42 in deck.

It has a starter generator which should put it into the 1960's to early 70s.

If it has the original engine the serial number on the engine could help you or if you could respond with the serial number off the tractor I could be more precise.

Thank you for your question.

Q:

Oil capacity for craftsman ride on, splash lubrication

A:

That engine will take a Sears spark plug number PM-1 or Champion J8C. The oil capacity will be 1 to 1.5qts of 30w high detergent oil.

I haven't seen one these still running in quite some time. Glad to know there are some still out there. They certainly do not make tractors like this anymore.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!
