Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. Usually the adapter kit is part of the tow behind vacuum. Originally, the unit shook have come with a plastic boot and templates. The boot is a plastic part that has an opening for the hose and you have to cut out the hole for the mower deck. That is where the templates come in. Once you have the hole for the deck cut, you use the supplied hardware to attach the boot to the mower. If you could please reply below with the model number of the tow behind vacuum, I will be happy to look up the adapter kit for your unit.

I hope to hear from you.

The local Sears Outlet Store gave me Model numbers 917248960 and 917248961 as possible bagger numbers but could not confirm if either would fit my lawn tractor. They also provided a Bagger Chute Number 187300, $63.03, but again could not confirm if it would attach to my mower deck nor if it's discharge end would accept the 6" diameter flexible hose intake of the Lawn-Vac. The Sears Customer Service Representative I recently spoke with could not fink a Model Number and of course not a Part Number for the Bagger Chute that fits my Lawn Tractor's mower deck. He said managemylife would be able to find it for me, please make contact through www.managemylife.com. As you request, my Lawn-Vac is manufactured by Swisher Mower & Machine Co. Inc. and it's Model Number is LV87537 with Serial Number - L1 07-122007. I didn't order an adapter kit from Swisher because I didn't want to spend a lot of time and frustration on fashioning a permanent fit-up boot to my mower deck cancelling out the mulch and side-cast options that i desire to keep available. I guess you must be having a problem, like me, in finding a Part Number for a Bagger Chute that can be confirmed will fit my mower deck and accept connection of a 6" diameter flexible hose. Thirty years ago my father's Craftsman lawn mower with bagger attachment had a bagger chute that clipped onto the mower deck just like the mulch kit discharge cover did. It had a discharge end that a 6" flexible or rigid tube would readily fit onto. That Bagger Chute was MADE-TO-FIT that mower deck. It worked very well, no cut gaps reducing air/clippings flow efficiency. I think a made-to-fit Bagger Chute is out there with a part number waiting to be ordered to fit my new mower. Let's find it, please.

Rudy, I looked up the bagger for your tractor. The bagger for your model is 917.249170. The part number for the lower chute is 187300 and can be ordered from the following link. This chute is molded to fit your deck. I am not sure what the size the outlet is. If you are close to a store, you can swing in and measure the tubes on one of the floor models. If it will work for you it can be ordered here . You might want to order all the straps that secure it to the mower deck. Please let me know how this works. Thank you for using Manage my life. Mark

Thank you for you question.

To remove the old rivet in the cover you need to drill out the head. You should be fine using a 3/16 or a 1/4 in drill bit. Make sure to drill the rivet a little at a time if the rivet gets too hot it will melt the plastic. I usually drill one for a few seconds the move to the next one. Once you have drilled far enough the head of the rivet will come off. Then you should be able to pry the parts apart. To reinstall the parts you need to purchase six screws that are #10-24 X 5/8 and locking nuts. When tightening the screw please make sure to not over tighten them. Just snug is all you need. If tightened too tight they will pull through the plastic. I hope this is helpful.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
