That F5 indicates that you have a problem with the electronic oven control board (part WB19X265). Replacing that component will normally fix that failure. You can order that part from this page: Electronic Clock Control Board for Kenmore Range Model 911.9858710 . Unplug the range before accessing and replacing internal components.

Note: That clock control board is fairly expensive. You may consider replacing the range rather than replacing that clock control board in this situation.

I did not find the owner's manual for that exact range available on our website. The hard copy of the owner's manual is no longer available as a replacement part. I found an owner's manual for a similar model of range that uses the same type of electronic oven control board. Here is a copy of the manual for that similar range: Owner's Manual . You may be able to use the information in that manual to operate your oven controls.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. Having the model number of your Kenmore double oven would provide the information needed in order to provide model specific information. Without knowing the model number I will only be able to provide general information.

Fault codes can have different meanings depending on the model number. Generally speaking, F4 implies a problem with the oven temperature sensor or a loose or dirty connection in the oven temperature sensor circuit.

The lower oven temperature sensor is located inside the lower oven cavity. It's generally located in the upper left or upper right hand corner on the back wall inside the oven cavity.

It can be removed, disconnected and tested using an ohm meter. It generally will measure approximately 1100 ohms at room temperature.

Reply with the model number for model specific information if needed.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Rita: Thank you for adding the model number. The model number is 911.9858710. The "F4" fault code implies an open or shorted oven temperature sensor probe. This could be caused by a faulty oven temperature sensor probe, sensor circuit wires shorted or broken, faulty limit switch or loose or dirty sensor circuit connections. It could also be caused by a faulty oven control too. To diagnose the cause of the failure will require a service technician. Based on the age of the range it may not be cost effective to have it repaired.
