Question and Answers

Q:

My oven will not heat up 91195879790 Kenmore 30" radiant electric range

A:

Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. The issue you're experiencing could be with the oven temperature probe (WB21X5301) or the main control board (WB27T10269). The images below will assist you with accessing and testing the temperature probe. You'll need an ohms/volt meter to test the temperature probe. The probe should measure around 1100 ohms at room temperature (+/- 10%). If the resistance of that probe is bad, it will need to be replaced. I was also able to find a video on this process. If the temperature probe test good, then replce the main control board. You can order parts from our Sears Parts Direct web site. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

F-5 Error message. Please provide instructions for repairing this range.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F5" fault implies a failure within the oven control board. Press Clear/OFF and then reselect the bake and temperature and if the F5 reappears, replace the oven control board.

The oven control is part#WB27T10269 which will cost approximately $175.00. It can be ordered from Sears PartsDirect .

I added an image below showing how to access the oven control board. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before dropping the console down and removing and replacing the oven control board. Make a note of where the wires are connected before disconnecting the wires from the old control board. Once you have the console taken down there will likely be a couple of screws to remove in order to take the control out.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
