That model of range was produced before 1987. I don't have an exact date of manufacture available for that model. I found an owner's manual for a similar model that uses the same type of control. Here is a link for that manual: Owner's Manual . I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details and we will try to help you further if possible.

Q:

Electric oven #9119388810 self cleaning

A:

The smart appliances today do help and offer many features, but it seems we do not speak the same language. I located an attachment that lists the error codes for your model attached to a previous expert post. I linked to that post below so you can check. Just ignore the question, only the attachment applies. The expert will be along to help make sense of it all for your range. Hope this helps with that language barrior.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand having the Door error coming up when your range is put into the clean cycle.

It sounds like that because of the age of the range that the micro-switches that operate the door lock mechanism are sticky because they do not get used a lot over the period of the products life.

When you put it through the lock and unlock cycle a few times it started to make contact and work.

The part number for the switch is; WB2X9129 and you can purchase it from; Sears Parts Direct .

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

  • I would suggest you have a technician come out and change out the switches. If you want to do it yourself it is not very difficult repair, but you will need to have some mechanical ability and some basic tools.

  • You will need to lift the cook top up to get to the door lock mechanism.

I hope this information helped.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

How do I shut off the buzzer in my Kenmore electric range model 911.9388810?

A:

The buzzer is in the clock (part WB27M4 priced $385.49). I don't believe that you will be able to disconnect the buzzer. The clock would need to be replaced to fix this failure. I recommend that you consider replacing the range verses replacing the oven control board.
