Question and Answers

Q:

Can you find a manual for me?

A:

I searched the online manuals at Manage My Life without success. There is also no hard copy available at Sears Parts Direct. You may have already checked these sites. I did find a site that may offers avenues to information. Often you can contact the manufacturer directly and this site will help you locate the correct maker for your range. If there is something wrong with your range and you add some detail to this thread about the problem, the expert may be able to help with instructions.

Thank you for your question.

I have looked up the model number you have submitted. I am sorry but due to the age of the range, the manual is no longer available. It looks like it was confirmed no longer available in 1977. If you would like to reply with details of the problem you are having I will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

A:

Doing the self cleaning on your oven is something that is great to do to have oven maintained. I have placed the Owner's Manual for you to look throw and it has a section for the self cleaning option.

I apologize for the misinformation. Please follow these instructions for the dial clock: First, the clock must operate and it should be set for the correct time of day. If you have a selector switch, set it to "Clean" as well as the oven thermostat. Lock the door by sliding the lock handle over to the lock position. You should have a start and stop knob on the clock. If you want the clean cycle to start immediately, the start knob/stem should be in the outwards position and not pushed in. If it's pushed in, rotate the start knob but don't push in and rotate it until it pops out. It should pop out when the time indicated matches the time of day clock. A normal cleaning time is 3-4 hours. Set the stop knob 3-4 hours ahead of the start time. Push the stop knob inwards and rotate ahead 3-4 hours ahead of the start time and the "Clean" cycle will begin. When the time of day clock matches the stop time, the clean cycle will shut off and then wait for the oven to cool down before unlocking the door. If the door will not unlock, it is still too hot. NOTE: Be sure to remove the oven racks before starting a clean cycle.
