I can understand wanting to have the range in calibration for the correct baking temperature.

Since any of these that have calibration is limited to 35 degrees I believe you will need a new control.

You can try to recalibrate with the previous answer link instructions.

The part number for the control is: WB19X0277 and you can purchase it from: Sears Parts Direct .

I think you will have to send back the old control for a core to be rebuilt.

There is normally a date code embedded in the serial number of the range. The model number can also help indicate the year of production. I recommend that you reply with the full model number and serial number of your Kenmore range. With that information, we should be able to tell you when it was manufactured.

I did some further research. The serial number uses a 12 year rolling code. Based on the publish date of the parts list diagram, the year of manufacture is likely 1982 (12 years earlier than noted above).
